Virtual and augmented reality

The Virtual Reality (VR) training scenario provides a highly immersive and interactive simulation specifically designed to support hospital personnel in managing triage and decontamination procedures during Chemical, Biological, or Toxic (CB/T) incidents. By leveraging both VR and Extended Reality (XR) technologies, the system delivers realistic, scenario-based training environments that closely replicate the operational conditions of actual emergencies. Under the CB-Med framework, eNOVATION VR/XR solutions serve as a central training asset. They allow medical staff to practice and refine their response capabilities within a controlled digital environment that mirrors the complexity, time pressure, and uncertainty typical of CB incidents. The platform addresses the need for scalable, repeatable, and safe training conditions. It reduces reliance on large-scale physical exercises, which are resource-intensive, logistically complex, and difficult to organize frequently.
