Transforming Collaboration and Response Strategies for CBRN-E Incidents

CBRN-E incidents and resulting casualties are a permanent threat. To address this challenge, the TeamUp project aims to establish a unified framework for evaluating capabilities, procedures, and co-developed solutions for CBRN-E preparedness and response. By uniting 23 partners from the European Union, the project seeks to improve training, raise awareness of CBRN-E risks, and enhance first responders' effectiveness.

Rising CBRN threats demand innovative approaches to preparedness. The eNOTICE-2 project focuses on enhancing preparedness and response through collaborative training and innovative resources. By engaging first responders, crisis managers, technology developers, and policymakers, the project addresses response gaps. Deliverables include updated training modules, a resource library, VR decontamination scenarios, and Europe-wide decontamination guidelines, complemented by four simulation exercises to foster collaboration.

Mobile Bio-Lab to support first response in Arbovirus outbreaks

To combat disease outbreaks, the MOBVEC project develops advanced technology as the first line of defense against disease vectors. Its goal is to prevent devastating outbreaks, save lives, and reduce healthcare costs, ultimately enhancing public health resilience across Europe.

PracticE Ecosystem for standaRdS

The PEERS project aims to build a practitioner-driven ecosystem to improve CBRN-E preparedness and response. By offering a Better Practice Guide initiative, gamified e-learning tools, and a governance mechanism for engagement, PEERS strengthens EU safety and security policies. Its innovative co-creation approach enhances user training and situational awareness, paving the way for sustainable improvements in CBRN-E operations.

NIGHTINGALE

Novel Integrated Toolkit for Enhanced Pre-Hospital Life Support and Triage in Challenging and Large Emergencies

To enhance disaster response capabilities, the NIGHTINGALE project optimizes procedures and methods for managing mass casualty incidents. It integrates intelligent tools and a unified operational framework to improve pre-hospital life support. Through real-life scenario training and the development of tools for challenging environments, NIGHTINGALE aims to enhance the resilience of emergency medical and civil protection services.

PANDEM-2

Pandemic Preparedness and Response

february 2021 - july 2023

Building on the PANDEM project, PANDEM-2 develops a prototype IT system to enhance pandemic preparedness and management. Its goal is to improve planning, situational awareness, and decision-making by integrating data from diverse sources into an online dashboard. Demonstrations across EU Member States will validate the system’s effectiveness in pandemic response.

A harmonized response to chemical and biological terrorism

A harmonised CBRN training curriculum for first responders and medical staff

The MELODY project harmonizes CBRN training for first responders across the EU. By building a comprehensive training curriculum based on past security projects, MELODY addresses deficiencies and delivers fit-for-purpose solutions.
