LAMP-LFA diagnostic technology for rapid pathogen detection

The LAMP–LFA technology combines isothermal nucleic acid amplification with lateral flow detection to enable rapid, sensitive, and targeted identification of pathogens in field and point-of-care environments. LAMP amplifies RNA or DNA at a constant temperature (60–65 °C), delivering visible results in under one hour without complex laboratory infrastructure, while LFA provides a simple, robust, and user-friendly visual readout. This integrated approach addresses key operational gaps by enabling multiplex detection of pathogens with enhanced sensitivity and specificity, reducing false positives and negatives. It further supports scalability for mass testing, cost-effectiveness, and ease of use in resource-limited settings, while offering potential integration with digital reporting systems for timely situational awareness during medical, environmental, and bio-threat response scenarios.
